Peter White
Pianist
Originally from the UK, Peter White holds degrees in Music and English from the University of Birmingham, and in Musical Direction from the Royal Academy of Music in London. His credits as a music director include: Kinky Boots (West End premiere and the Grammy-nominated West End Cast Album, and Associate Music Supervisor for productions in Tokyo and Melbourne), Les Misérables (UK/European and US 25th Anniversary Tours), Hairspray (UK Tour), Legally Blonde (UK Tour), and Avenue Q (West End – Assistant MD). He has also composed scores for several theatre shows and documentaries, and in 2013 was made an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music for outstanding contribution to the music industry. Since 2017 he has lived in Los Angeles, and works closely with the Theater Departments at both the University of Southern California and Loyola Marymount University, alongside freelance work as a songwriter, composer, music producer and music director. Recent projects include being a co-creator of the viral The Bachelor Tik Tok Musical, and upcoming stage musical Aurora, featuring songs co-written with composer Jennifer Lucy Cook and Little Monarch lead singer Casey Kalmenson. www.petewhitesongs.com
