The Shot, Robin’s first play, was selected for the 2017 Ojai Playwrights Conference, and has been produced around the country starring Sharon Lawrence. Robin’s semi-autobiographical play, The Best Medicine, grew out of her experience caring for her husband who has Parkinson’s disease. It premiered at Great Barrington Public Theater in July, 2025. Prior to becoming a playwright, Robin became a member of the Washington DC bar and worked on Capitol Hill for a legendary leader of the House of Representatives. She then became a labor union lobbyist. Robin’s writing life includes: Leadership the Eleanor Roosevelt Way (Penguin), Katharine Graham (Penguin), Barbie and Ruth, about the founder of Mattel (HarperCollins), and the novel Eleanor vs. Ike (HarperAvon). Robin is also a professional speaker, motivating audiences with stories from the lives of great women leaders.
