Richard Eyre

Richard Eyre was the director of the National Theatre from 1988 to 1997, during which time he brought several productions to BAM, including Richard III with Ian McKellen in 1992. Eyre has directed many productions on Broadway and in the West End, including his own adaptations of Hedda Gabler and Ghosts. His film credits include Iris and Notes on a Scandal. He recently directed Le Nozze di Figaro for the Met and has received numerous awards.
