Mehrnaz Mohammadi

Born and raised in Iran and based in Los Angeles, Mehrnaz is an actor and writer. Her genre-bending storytelling in theatre and film investigates the complexities of human experience and challenges notions of self and identity. Through her creative practice, Mehrnaz explores the universality of the human journey that connects people beyond cultural and societal borders. Her selected works as an actor in theatre include Closely Related Keys (International City Theatre), Seven (Atwater Village), Intersections (Guthrie Theatre), Antigone X (Scene Dock), Suppliant Women (Rogue Machine/Getty Villa), The Caucasian Chalk Circle (The Antaeus Company) and Sand Moon (Son of Semele). Her screen appearances include From Scratch (recurring co-star in Netflix limited series), Stuck in Development (series regular), and The Peck Situation (Winner of Best Acting at Show Low Film Festival). She has a BFA in Theatre Performance from Concordia University and MFA in Acting from USC. Her latest short film, Chai, was a Semi-Finalist at Los Angeles Film Awards, a Nominee at the Swedish International Film Festival, and Selected at D.I.Y. Film Fest + Emotional Freedom Lab. Her most recent work, Ms. Rebel, an introspective one-woman show, is set for a world premiere in early 2024 in Montreal.
