Leo Folsom: Pianist, composer, educator Leo Folsom is a passionate musician who has already achieved great involvement in the short time he has been on the scene. His musical interests include yet search beyond, traditional genres to develop a personal perspective. A native of Seattle, Washington, Folsom began playing professionally as a sideman and leader at the age of 15 in and around the Seattle area. He has performed for such festivals as the Essentially Ellington Competition & Festival, Toulon Jazz Festival, and Umbria Jazz Festival. In addition to leading his own groups, Folsom has performed with Maiya Sykes, Joel Culpepper, Joe Piscopo, Dave Liebman, The Glenn Miller Orchestra, Sal Valentinetti, Landau Eugene-Murphy, as well as many others.
