Erik is recognized for his roles on Amazon’s “Transparent,” “Modern Family,” Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger’s “Vinyl,” as well as on and off Broadway in “War Paint” with Patti LuPone, “The Band’s Visit” with Tony Shalhoub, “LoveMusik” with Donna Murphy, Disney’s “Hunchback of Notre Dame,” and in revivals of “Fiddler on the Roof” with Harvey Fierstein and Topol, Stephen Sondheim’s “Merrily We Roll Along” and “Into the Woods,” Carol Burnett’s “Hollywood Arms,” and “The Who’s Tommy.” He has appeared as Groucho Marx at The White House, in “Fiddler at 50” for Sondheim and Lin-Manuel Miranda, and directed “Raising the Roof,” starring Chita Rivera and Joshua Bell. In addition, he provided choreography for “Mabou Mines Dollhouse,” has appeared in concert at venues ranging from Lincoln Center to Joe’s Pub, and participated in the development of dozens of new works, including at Sundance Theatre Lab. His performances have been reviewed as “a showcase of sheer star power.”
