Cecilia Fairchild
Writer
Cecilia Fairchild is an L.A. native and a 7th-generation Californian. Her plays have been seen on stages all over Los Angeles, with subjects ranging from love and war to Faust and strippers. She was conceived on a moving train in a thunderstorm outside Marfa Texas, and she holds her Master’s degree in acting from USC. In both of those places, the movement itself was something very important. Being in motion, and what that feels like, became tied to every aspect of her creative life. A thought starts in the body of an individual, and ripples somehow through that body into those closest to you, and then further and further out. Bodies in movement, extending across time and space. The most visceral kind of communication.
