BYOULNORRI
BYOULNORRI is an evening of DaEun Jung’s choreographic work layered with pansori (Korean folk opera), electronic beats, irregular folk rhythms, Hangul (Korean alphabet system), chance operation, and numeric sequences that deconstruct, reinterpret, and transmute classical Korean dance vocabulary. In this interdisciplinary collaboration, contemporary bodies of different histories explore collective accomplishments under the shared rules and systems as well as singularities of ones’ spontaneous grooves.
