Frederica Nascimento
Scenic & Costume Designer
Frederica works in theatre, film and multidisciplinary design in the US and internationally. Being an architect informs her work, creating spaces and environments that are alive and empowered by collaboration. She has lived in Lisbon and New York, and is now based in Los Angeles, where she collaborates with several theatre companies and is a Resident Artist at A Noise Within; her next designs are Come From Away, A Christmas Carol, and Great Expectations. Frederica earned her MFA in scenic and production design at NYU/TISCH, and graduated from the Lisbon Theatre and Film School (ESTC), IFICT, Faculty of Architecture at the Technical University of Lisbon. She is a scholar with the Gulbenkian Foundation and FLAD, and a member of the Portuguese Order of Architects, Usual Suspect at NYTW, member of the USITT, and the USA 829/IATSE.
