Tina Preston began her acting career at the Music Center Theater Lab, She performed in Los Angeles, San Fransisco, New York and London. She was at the Padua Hills Playwrights Festival from the beginning (some 30 years or more) where she performed first run plays by John O’keefe, Maria Irene Fornes, John Steppling, Julie Hebert, Susan Masakowski and Murray Mednick. She appeared in plays in Los Angeles by Kelly Stuart, Michael Sargent Harvey Perr, Sharon Yablon and Jaquiline Wright. She was one of three actors in LA picked for The Gob Squad’s “Portrait Of Dorian Grey” at The Red Cat She garnered these awards: LA Weekly Award for Kelly Stuart’s “Taxi Dance”, Dramalogue for O’Keefe’s “Don’t You Ever Call Me Anything But Mother”, Dramalogue for Sargent’s “My Crime” and “Fury” and LA Weekly Award for Sargent’s “Knockouts”and LA Weekly Award for O’Keefe’s “Ghosts”. She was nominated by Stage Raw and The Valley Theater Awards for best solo performance for O’Keefe’s “Don’t You Ever Call Me Anything But Mother. She has appeared in over 20 films, Most recently “Catching The Bus”, “Rumble Strip’\ “Holiday With Mommy” and “Counting In”. Her vocal work can be heard on the CD “lo Landscapes” by Don Preston. She continues to explore all levels of the creative process.
